Northern's trade secret laser welding process creates high-quality welds (see right). We have been developing our laser welding capabilities on steel and stainless steel fabrications since 2000. Recently, we have produced welds that were full penetrating, exceeded the material strength, and looked great even without any finishing operations. Additionally, laser welding creates a low heat affected zone and therefore causes little welding distortion in your parts, allowing us to hold tighter tolerances in critical areas.
